Amboseli, a night at the waterhole, then Tsavo East

This route follows the same Nairobi loop as our other 4-day southern safari, but trades a second Tsavo West night for a stay at Salt Lick Lodge in the Taita Hills — known for stilted rooms built around a floodlit waterhole where elephant and buffalo are commonly seen after dark, often without leaving your room.

How the four days work

Day one is the drive to Amboseli with an afternoon game drive. Day two continues with a further Amboseli drive before the transfer to the Taita Hills, arriving in time to settle in before dusk at the waterhole. Day three is a relaxed lodge morning before continuing to Tsavo East for an afternoon game drive. Day four is a final Tsavo East drive before the return to Nairobi.

Good to know

The price shown is a guide per adult sharing a twin room across three nights, full board. Salt Lick is booked where availability allows; a comparable Taita Hills lodge is used if it is fully booked.
